Meet Immanuel's YouthWorks summer staff

Immanuel has started its third summer as a host site for YouthWorks, an agency that provides weeklong, Christ-centered mission trips for youth.

Four young adults are staffing the program, providing a variety of service opportunities for the groups that stay in the church.

The staffers are:

  • Leah Samples, who hails from Anderson, Ind. She is a new graduate of Anderson University with a degree in marketing communications and nonprofit management. This is her first summer with YouthWorks. This fall, she’ll be moving to Nashville, Tenn., to work with AmeriCorp.
  • Beth Clementson, a familiar face to Immanuel members as she was one of the GreaterWorks interns at Immanuel from September to May. Beth is a native of Pittsburgh, Penn., who graduated from Thiel College in May 2009 with a degree in psychology. She will attend Loyola University Maryland this fall to study for a master’s degree in school counseling. This is her third summer with YouthWorks.
  • Garrett Debbink, who’s from Sheboygan Falls, Wis., and will be a senior at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, studying music education and Spanish. Garrett is a veteran of YouthWorks on the participant side, having taking two trips with YouthWorks in high school. He says he’s wanted to work with YouthWorks ever since.
  • Josh Park, who just graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in youth ministry. He loves playing volleyball and playing worship music. This is Josh’s first summer with YouthWorks.
