Patriotism, picnic on the calendar for Immanuel's active seniors

OPUS/Phase III, Immanuel's group for active seniors, will meet on Wednesday, July 21, for an indoor picnic and presentation titled "10 Things Every Citizen Should Know about the U.S. Constitution."

Naomi Karmeier will lead the group in patriotic singing, and local historians Patti Winkler and Emerson Wilson will make the constitution come alive.

The indoor picnic starts at 11:30 a.m. at the church, 1700 Westport Road, Kansas City, Mo., with the program to follow.

Cost is $7 per person.
